How do I prepare for our baby for the portrait session?

To help ensure your newborn’s portrait session goes smoothly, we recommend feeding your baby and applying a new diaper just before the session. Dressing your baby in your favorite outfit beforehand also helps set the scene. Your photographer will provide specific tips and feedback tailored to your unique situation, making sure everything is ready for a successful photoshoot in your room.

Can family members be included in the photos?

Absolutely! We love to integrate whoever is present during the session—siblings, parents, grandparents, and other family members are all welcome. Including your loved ones helps capture the full joy and connection of this special time, making your newborn’s portraits even more meaningful.

What if we want natural poses with family members?

Natural light is beneficial, so having a space with good window light can help. We can look to add other locations in your home that are special to your baby and session. Please keep this in mind when choosing a package and time.

Yes, travel within 10 miles of the hospital is included in the session package. Beyond that, there is a small fee to cover the travel time and fuel costs for the photographer. The fee is $1.00 per mile beyond the included 10 miles.

What if we would like to add time to our session?

You have the option to add time in 15-minute increments at a rate of $25, provided that the photographer does not have a subsequent session that would prevent this.

What if my baby is fussy or needs a break during the session?

We understand that babies need breaks. The session time includes ample time for feeding, napping, and diaper changes to ensure your baby is comfortable and happy. We recommend feeding, napping, and changing your baby before our arrival. Our setup time is only 5-10 minutes.

How do we view our photos?

After the photo session, we’ll give you some space so mom and baby can continue bonding while we carefully edit and enhance your photos with special touches to make your session unique. Typically, within an hour, we return to your room with a rolling cart and a large preview monitor. This allows you to comfortably view all the images from your session while resting in bed. If you choose to make a purchase, everything can be handled on the spot, ensuring a seamless and convenient experience for your family.

I love my photos! Can I purchase extra poses digitally or printed?

Yes! You have the option to purchase additional digital and print rights, allowing you to print and share images beyond the poses included in your package.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

While we take time to edit your session, we understand the importance of receiving your photos promptly. On average, it takes 2-4 days to receive a link to your digital gallery where you can review and choose your favorite photos from the session.
